Our Ethical and Social Responsibility

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula is a proud member of the World Cocoa Foundation (WCF). Supporting cocoa farmers and their families around the world.

In October 2012 Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula joined the World Cocoa Foundation (WCF) in support of their efforts to provide economic, social and environmental support to cocoa farmers and their families around the world. As one of the first cocoa butter skin care brands in the U.S., Palmer's has become synonymous with cocoa butter. Like the WCF, Palmer's recognises the benefits associated with the cocoa bean and in this partnership hopes to lend support to the foundation's mission to stimulate a sustainable economy. Cocoa butter has been at the heart of Palmer's for the past 40 years and we are committed to its sustainable usage.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula joins the Global Shea Alliance (GSA). Forging a sustainable Shea industry worldwide.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula is also a member of the Global Shea Alliance (GSA). The mission of the GSA is to design, develop, and deliver strategies that drive a competitive and sustainable Shea industry worldwide, improving the livelihoods of rural African women and their communities. As a member of the GSA, Palmer's aims to further immerse the brand in the organisation through participation in ongoing collaborative projects with national associations across West Africa and the women collectors in that region. Palmer's supports the sustainable sourcing of all its skincare ingredients, including the Shea butter, which used across all product lines.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter formula Palmer's is a "cruelty free" company and does not conduct product tests on animals.

Palmer's Cocoa Butter formula is a member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil.

The RSPO sets social and environmental standards for sustainable palm oil production, such as no new clearing of primary tropical forests, conservation of natural habitats, and respect for workers and indigenous people. Palmer's and its suppliers are committed to responsible and sustainable palm production. Sustainable means a commitment to safeguarding the environment; protecting native animal species, such as orangutans and tigers; providing a safe and healthy work environment for their employees; respecting local land rights and helping to develop local communities.
